THE PEACE LIGHT FROM BETHLEHEM IS COMING TO ST. BRENDAN’S

Join the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts at the 11 AM Mass on Sunday Morning, November 26th for the Reception and Passing of the Peace Light

The  Peace Light from Bethlehem is a continuously-burning flame, originating from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Israel. For several decades the International Scouting movement – both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts – have actively promoted global peace and harmony through the distribution of the Peace Light. The Peace Light will arrive at JFK Airport on Flight OS87 from Vienna, Austria on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

The Passing of the Peace Light Ceremony will take place at the end of Mass. If you wish to receive the Peace light please bring a lantern, candle or other suitable container.
